Informational meeting within the framework of Young Scientists Support Program

On June 20, 2022, an informational meeting took place at the International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA on the "Young Scientists Training Competition" implemented within the framework of Young Scientists Support Program. The event was attended by academicians of NAS RA, administration staff of the Center, lecturers, students, young scientists.

The Program for Promoting the Creative Thinking of Young Scientists was established in 2012 to support young scientists.

"The training program for young scientists is a short-term visit of students, postgraduates, candidates of science to a foreign research organization or scientific laboratory aimed at professional development, acquiring new skills and conducting scientific researches," said the program speaker, Ph.D. Hayk Zakaryan.

Academician-Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of the RA Arthur Ishkhanyan, who was present at the event, made an extensive speech, particularly noting. "The multilateral development of international cooperation is of vital importance today, first of all, in the humanitarian sphere. Currently we are fighting propaganda war; we must clearly realize that increasing our visibility in the world is a matter of national security. That's why I urge you to spread the idea of this program as much as possible. We live in an age of rapid technological progress focused on science, so in this term, scientists are the most important people today." A. Ishkhanyan called on young scientists to take the initiative, as the light holders enlightening the whole society.

"Remember that the whole correspondence should be based on scientific thought," concluded Arthur Ishkhanyan, Academician-Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

It should be reminded that both masters, post-graduate students, non-academic researchers, as well as young scientists can apply for the Young Scientists Training Competition. The aim of the program is to improve the quality of postgraduate/master's/master's work, to introduce students to the culture of doing scientific work in leading laboratories, to encourage high-quality students to continue their scientific path, to develop professional skills of research workers and scientists.

The deadline for applications is June 30, 2022.
