"ISEC provides students with wide opportunities to study abroad at leading universities," ISEC student Roza Tadevosyan

July 15, 2022

Roza Tadevosyan is a 1st year Master's student of the Department "Environmental Protection and Nature Management" Department of ISEC NAS RA and Ecocenter, who currently continues her second semester studies at Tuscia University in Italy within the framework of Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program.

We spoke to Rosa about the education she received at Tuscia University in Italy, as well as the opportunities provided by International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA.

- My name is Roza Tadevosyan, 22 years old. I am a chemist by profession, I graduated from Yerevan State University, Faculty of Chemistry. I am continuing my Master's degree at the "Environmental Protection and Nature Management" Department of Ecocenter and International Scientific- Educational Center of the NAS RA. Currently I work at the Center for Ecologanospheric Research of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, where I started working in parallel with studying in the graduate course.

I decided to choose the field of ecology, because currently there are serious ecological issues in Armenia for the solution of which our country needs advanced specialists in ecology, and I am striving to become one of them.

Working at the Center for Ecologanospheric Research of the NAS RA upon my graduation year, an academic environment and interaction with highly efficient researchers promoted me to become a part of them, hence I applied to ISEC for a Master’s degree.

ISEC provides students with wide opportunities to study abroad at leading international universities.

The University of Tuscia in Italy is among those ones. While working at the Eco-center, I made many friends who also studied at Tuscia University within the framework of Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program. I have also dreamed of studying at Tuscia University, that’s why I immediately participated in this study abroad program as a result of which I took advantage of studying my second semester of Master's degree at Tuscia University.

The classes at Tuscia University are very interactive, we have both theoretical and practical parts.

The lecturers seek to involve the students as much as possible. They are caring, friendly and enthusiastic to answer all our questions. Tuscia University has all the necessary facilities for students’ efficiency like reading halls, a beautiful garden in the campus where students can prepare for their exams.

Throughout my studies at the Faculty of Chemistry I discovered crystallography as a new science for me.

I like to study the crystal structure of chemicals, the structural features of their crystal lattice, and if I have time, I also try to grow crystals. However, considering that I am both studying and working, I could hardly have any spare time, and if I do, I prefer to spend it with my family and friends, watching movies, listening to music and going for walks.

While studying at ISEC I have acquired new knowledge due to which I managed to observe and perceive different information and phenomena I was already familiar with from a different point of view.

I am happy to have been taught by experienced professors who are passionate about sharing their rich experience and knowledge with students. Surely, I would advise future masters students of ISEC to do their best during their studies and make all their efforts to acquire as much knowledge as possible as it will undoubtedly become the essential pillar of their success.
