The International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA strengthens collaboration with the University of Tuscia in Italy

On August 30, the Director of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Armen Sargsyan, hosted a delegation from the University of Tuscia in Italy. The delegation was represented by the Rector Stefano Ubertini, Angela Fattoretti, the Head of the Department of International Relations, Maurizio Petruccioli, the Director of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection, Giuseppe Calabro the member of the Business Relations and Fundraising delegation, and other members of the academic staff.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the institutional foundation between the two universities and ensure the continuity of joint cooperation.
Director Armen Sargsyan opened the meeting with his remarks and welcomed the distinguished members of the international delegation, emphasizing the importance of the event. He noted that this is another step towards expanding long-term effective collaboration and introducing new scientific and educational programs: "Over the years, our partnership has evolved into a dynamic and effective exchange of ideas, resources, and experience. This has not only enriched our academic and research environment but has also paved the way for the implementation of successful projects that are mutually beneficial for both institutions. One of the most valuable aspects of our partnership is the effective collaboration established between the respective departments, which has led to the introduction of new educational programs," said Director A. Sargsyan.
The Rector of the University of Tuscia in Italy, Stefano Ubertini, also addressed his welcoming remark, highlighting the achievements resulting from joint cooperation, which, undoubtedly, will continue within the framework of the double degree award between the two universities, as well as the Erasmus+ mobility programs.
Later, separate group discussions were held by fields of interest to explore joint areas.
The delegation also visited the Department of Geology of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA. During the visit, a tour was conducted at the Geology Museum, where the guests were introduced to rare minerals from various mines and museum exhibits.
The day concluded with a visit to the Aerospace Engineering Department of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, located in the Engineering City. Here, the guests visited the National Supercomputing Center of Armenia and the engineering laboratories, where the students of the International Scientific-Educational Center conduct research.
