Launch of a new Double Degree Program with the University of Tuscia in Italy
May 25, 2022From May 23 to 27, 2022, within the framework of the Erasmus + Credit Mobility Program, the staff of the ISEC NAS RA is participating in the "International Staff Training Week" at the University of Tuscia, Italy. The second day of the training was dedicated to the discussion of double diploma programs and new collaboration links.
The peculiarities of the implementation of the double diploma program on "Human Rights and Security" were discussed among Alessandro Buffalini, a lecturer at the University of Tuscia, Italy and a program coordinator and the working group of the ISEC NAS RA, including Deputy Director for Educational Affairs E. Zargaryan, head of the Foreign Affairs Department A. Harutyunyan, Chief Specialist of the Foreign Affairs Department E. Papikyan, Associate Professor of the Department of Jurisprudence A. Sedrakyan. The parties emphasized significance of launching a new double diploma program, especially in terms of overcoming current challenges, as well as organized substantive discussions on the content of the courses offered and the scope of implementation.
It should be reminded that in 2021, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Department of Jurisprudence conducted negotiations on the implementation of the double diploma program, as a result of which the agreement on the implementation of the double diploma for new Master's degree program "Security and Human Rights" has already been signed between the University of Tuscia in Italy and the ISEC NAS RA, which is considered to be the third double diploma agreement between these two higher education institutions.
Admission for the new Master's program will start in 2022-2023 academic year. The first-year students will start their studies at the Center, and the best students will have the opportunity to spend the second year of study at the University of Tuscia, receiving two diplomas at the end of their studies - the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA and Tuscia University of Italy. Other students also have the opportunity to pursue distance learning and receive two diplomas, as all the courses are also available online (live and recording).
