New Perspectives of Cooperation with the University of Presov, Slovakia

From April 8 to 11, the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA hosted the members of the delegation from Slovakia's Presov University, represented by Vice-Dean for Education and Communication, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Victoria Ali Taha and Head of the Department of Management, Professor Mikhaila Harnikarova.
The Director of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, Armen Sargsyan, launched the series of working meetings during which a number of issues were discussed in relation to the development of bilateral relations, the prospects of inter-university interaction, and the execution of mobility programs for students and academic staff. An agreement was reached to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation in the near future between the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA and the Slovak University of Presov for the purpose of implementing joint scientific and educational programs.
On the initiative of the Head of Foreign Affairs Department Angela Papikyan, a separate meeting was also arranged with Karen Sargsyan, Head of ISEC’s Department of Economics and Management, lecturers of the Department, Head of the Quality Assurance Department Narine Vardanyan, during which the means of communication were outlined, and issues regarding the type of cooperation between the ISEC Department of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Management and Business of the Slovak University of Presov were clarified with the prospect of awarding a joint degree by the two universities.
An educational meeting was also arranged between the delegation members and Master’s students in Tourism Management and Business Administration of ISEC Department of Economics and Management, during which Professor Victoria Ali Taha of the University of Presov gave an overview of primary areas, the research opportunities, and upcoming projects offered to international students by the Faculty of Management and Business.
