The Jubilee Events Dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences have commenced

On October 17 the jubilee events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences have launched. During the solemn meeting, heads of delegations from Belarus, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Tajikistan, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Russia, Georgia, Great Britain and Ukraine as well as, Vice President of the European Federation of Academies (ALLEA) Graham Caie, President of CIS Executive Committee Agibay Smagulov and Vice President of the European Academy Ole Peterson congratulated NAS RA. "It's no coincidence that scientists from different countries, CIS countries, the Baltic States, the European Union have come to congratulate the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. It speaks of the international recognition of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences. ...
The whole world knows how powerful the Armenian Academy of Sciences is. It was powerful and it is powerful. It is not only a good example of preserving the structure of the academy, but also an example of preserving the elite community of science and culture ... "said the guests of the National Academy of Sciences.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of NAS RA, the President Radik Martirosyan of NAS RA was awarded the Gold Medals of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and Ukraine, Vice President of the NAS RA Yuri Shukuryan was awarded the Gold Medal of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Academician Radik Martirosyan, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and academician Tadej Bajd, President of the Slovenian Academy of Science and Art have signed a cooperation agreement. The exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of NAS RA was of great interest to the achievements of scientific-research organizations of the NAS, the results of the scientific research and the scientific and technical pre-requisites reflecting the innovational potential of the NAS RA. The National Academy of Sciences of Armenia was founded in November, 1943 as the highest scientific institution in Armenia, it is called to unite scientists' efforts to conduct fundamental research, to reveal and reevaluate the rich spiritual heritage of the Armenian people, to give theoretical and practical solution to the economic, social and cultural problems and to ensure national security.
