The ISEC Of The NAS RA Continues Its Activities Within The Framework Of NEPC Membership

February 24, 2022

Within the framework of NEPC membership, the International Scientific-Educational Center of  NAS RA participated in the development of a package of proposals included in the Global Education Monitoring Report-2021, which includes various educational and research institutions involved in education policy from a number of countries from Central and Eastern Europe, Caucuses and Central Asia. Given that the region is entering the last decade of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG) activities, one of the missions of which is inclusive education, hence the education systems must take into account the needs of all learners and view learner diversity not as a problem but as a resource. The recommendations included in the report address the rooted barriers and opportunities presented in the wide range of inclusion issues. Dean of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA at NEPC emphasized that thanks to the efforts of the ISEC of NAS RA, the Armenian language version of the report was published, among other languages.

It should be noted that the NEPC (Network of Educational Policy Centers) international organization has 27 members from 22 countries, and the representative of the Republic of Armenia is the ISEC of NAS RA, which has joined the network since 2021.

The goal of the NEPC is to create a network of leading centers in education policy which as a global player with local, regional experience in education policy, aims to foster an open, democratic, multicultural, and pluralistic society.

The network input into the improvement of educational policy is reflected in the implementation of various projects, which includes the process of development and implementation of major projects with the participation of several countries, where the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA has a great contribution.
