Study Tour to Four European Universities in Frames of Veritas

From 14 to 19 November a study tour to four leading European universities was organized within the framework of EU Tempus-funded “VERITAS: Structural Development of the Third Cycle Based on Salzburg Principles” program, where NAS RA participants were Albert Sargsyan, Director of International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, Arsen Arakelyan, Director of Institute of Molecular Biology of NAS RA and Arusyak Harutyunyan, Head of Foreign Affairs Department of ISEC NAS RA.
In the frames of the study visit the participants visited KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, University of Girona in Spain, Univeristy of Bath Spa in the UK and University of Heidelberg in Germany.
In each country a workshop was held, where the higher education system of the particular country, their format of PhD programs, QA approaches were presented, as well as in-detailed discussons of the experience of PhD education organization, PhD supervision and assessment principles were held, the research component and introduction of innovations etc were covered.
At the end of the visit each partner institution will present proposals on reforms based on the lessons learnt.
