The ISEC Student Council and Student Scientific Society have newly elected Chairmen

On October 8, the election of the chairmen of Student Council and Student Scientific Society took place at the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
The organization process of the elections was supported by the Dean of ISEC, Atom Mkhitaryan, the deanery administrator Kristine Hovhannisyan, the head of the Public Relations and Career Department, Lilit Adamyan and legal advisor, Lilit Kharatyan.
The Dean A. Mkhitaryan, made an opening speech, who mentioned the importance of active and effective activity of student self-government bodies in student life.
Before moving on to the main agenda, Arus Nikolyan, interim chairperson of Student Council, introduced the activities and achievements of SC during her tenure, as well as expressed her willingness to support the newly elected staff of SC.
The 1st-year Master's students of the Department of Oriental Studies proposed the candidacy of their fellow student, Henrik Jamalyan, for the position of the Student Council Chairman. Tiruhi Baiburdyan, the student of the same department, introduced Henrik as a smart, knowledgeable and young man with great potential, who had already managed to attract the attention of professors and fellow students.
Hence, the only candidate nominated as a SC chairman was Henrik Jamalyan, who thanked the audience for their trust and presented his work plan, within the framework of which he was going to create a debate club, to organize cultural, spiritual, and sports events, thus contributing to formation of cooperative links between the students. H. Jamalyan was elected as Student Council Chairman, promising to fulfill the expectations and succeed in future.
According to the agenda, the election of the Student Scientific Society (SSS) chairperson was organized next. Narek Sahakyan, the 2nd-year Master's student of the Department of Geology, the only nominated candidate, was elected as Chairman of the SSS. N. Sahakyan also expressed his gratitude to the participants and assured to maximize his efforts and work productively, thus leading to the development of the Scientific Society.
Lilit Adamyan, the head of the Public Relations and Career Department, congratulate the newly elected chairpersons of Student Council and Student Scientific Society, highlighting the significant role of these structures as students uniting bodies adding value to the implementation process of student initiatives, the purposeful use of youth scientific potential, as well as active participation in the decision-making process at the university, and expressed her readiness to contribute to students efficient work.
