"Improving Exchange of Education and Culture" workshop in Armenia

From June 3-7, Gohar Grigoryan, PhD, the Chair of the Foreign Language Department, the Head of the Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication club, participated in the "Improving Exchange of Education and Culture" workshop organized in Georgia under the EU4Dialogue ("Eastern Partnership") initiative funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The workshop aimed to engage educational leaders, school principals, and center directors in Armenia to enhance effective management and leadership skills in the field of education, as well as foster successful and innovative approaches to engaging stakeholders in educational reform efforts. Participants discussed several topics, including effective communication, resource management, institutional and project management, team leadership skills, strategic planning and implementation assessment, and decision-making processes.

The participants discussed the following topics:

  • Effective communication,
  • Resource management,
  • Institutional and project management,
  • Team leadership skills,
  • Strategic planning and execution assessment,
  • Decision-making approaches.

The selected topics were actively discussed in interactive formats, focusing on lectures, collaborative work, challenges, and practical leadership responsibilities. As noted by Gohar Grigoryan, "Active participation of regional similar workshops, where there is an opportunity not only to become a participant in educational developments in the field of education, but also to overcome problems and their solutions through personal experience."
