Exclusive Training on “Research Methods” at the ISEC NAS RA
July 16, 2019Chair of Linguistics, Public Relations and Career Department and Student Scientific Society of the ISEC NAS RA organized a one-day open lecture titled "Research Methods" on July 11th . The lecture was delivered by the Head of Chair of Linguistics Mery Sargsyan, PhD in Philological Sciences. The ones who wanted to get acquainted with the principles of research work, drafting official workflow texts, their criteria and features could participate in the training.
The course was designed for students of all specialties who wanted to engage in scientific or creative work, preparing to submit a master’s thesis or going to work in government institutions, etc. The course was also touched upon with more informal texts of official business.
The following topics were discussed during the training:
- Types of texts and their features
- Texts of office work. (application, autobiography, CV, official letter)
- Features and criteria of research texts.
- Scientific style: content and language specifications.
- Structure and features of research work.
- The structure of the constituent scientific texts
The 2nd year students from different chairs of the ISEC NAS RA, as well as students, alumni, lecturers from various educational and scientific institutions also took part in the training.
Head of the Chair of Linguistics M. Sargsyan and SSS Chairman M. Parsadanyan agreed to continue the cooperation and regularly come up with similar initiatives.
