Representatives of ISEC NAS RA at the International STAFF Week University of Naples Federico II
October 29, 2024From October 14-18, within the framework of Erasmus+ program Director of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA Armen Sargsyan and Head of Foreign Affairs Department Angela Papikyan participated in the international staff week organized by the University of Naples Federico II.
The event was attended by more than 30 representatives from different countries – academic and administrative staff from Universities of Armenia, Romania, Italy, Algeria, Nigeria, Georgia, Ukraine and other countries.
The international staff week was dedicated to microcredentials/microcourses - a new type of modular learning that is currently widespread in the European Education Area and worldwide. In higher education, microcourses are short, flexible and targeted educational courses focused on a specific professional or career discipline and usually include one or more sources of accelerated educational experience.
The participants of the international week were presented with the national digital platform BESTR, used in Italy (website: http://bestr.it). BESTR, as a digital provider, certifies students’ professional qualifications and skills and provides them with digital certificates/digital badges (Open/Digital Badge), which can later be applied to their CVs.
As part of the international week, representatives of ISEC NAS RA visited the Apple Developer Academy of the University of Naples Federico II (website: https://www.developeracademy.unina.it/en/). Professors of the Academy presented the training courses in the Academy which are aimed at developing innovative applications with the focus on the coding, app design, start-ups creation, and professional skills. The programs are based on project-based learning through applied tasks which inspires creativity and collaboration among students. These courses are taught in English and are also available to international students.
