The annual international conference was held

On May 23rd, 2025, in the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA Annual international conference was held on at the International Scientific and Educational Center (ISEC) of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. This significant scientific event, which has been expanding year by year, this year included more than 50 participants representing various scientific and educational institutions in Armenia and Russia. The conference was held in a hybrid format (present, online). A large delegation arrived from Russia, which also included permanent participants. The conference was opened by the Director of the ICSC, Armen Sargsyan, and the Deputy Director for Scientific and Research of the ISEC NAS RA, Naira Hakobyan, and the Dean of the ICSC, Atom Mkhitaryan, delivered welcoming speeches.

The director of the ISEC of the NAS RA, Ph.D. of Economic sciences Armen Sargsyan welcomed all the participants and especially the guests from abroad, wished success to the conference, emphasizing in particular: "In the modern world, digital technologies are transforming our way of life, thinking and, of course, scientific and educational systems.   Along with new opportunities, it also brings serious challenges in terms of professional training, cognitive skills, technological integration. And just such conferences provide an opportunity to reevaluate our approaches, compare international experience and understand how we see the future of the scientific and educational system.

“The International Scientific and Educational Center of the NAS of the Republic of Armenia has always attached importance to the role of scientific communication and intercultural cooperation. We strive to create platforms where new ideas are born, partnerships are formed, and the development of scientific and research thinking is promoted.

I would especially like to emphasize the participation of our Russian colleagues, who not only share their experience and scientific results, but also form bridges of cooperation between our countries.

I hope that this conference will be not only productive but also inspiring, especially for the young participants. May the discussions and ideas developed here find their place in the formation of future joint projects and strengthening of cooperation.”

The Deputy director of the ISEC NAS RA, Ph.D. od psych. sciences, Professor Naira Hakobyan mentioned in her speech: "There is no doubt about the topicality and urgency of the proposed topic, because at the current stage of human development, when globalization and integration processes are taking place in the post-changing world, active introduction of digital technologies in almost all spheres of public life, not only the considered ultra-modern, but also the traditional institutions and structures that have been formed for centuries are being seriously transformed. The world of social communications is rapidly being transformed, increasingly being replaced by virtual ones. Digitization, as an engine of global social change, fundamentally changes the stereotypes of thinking, means of perceiving the surrounding reality, introduces new rules of behavior. The digitized world is giving people new tools, variety, and an enormous amount of choice... It was in this search that the idea of an international conference entitled “Problems of Science and Education in the Era of Digital Transformations” was formed, to which participants from a wide variety of fields and scientific centers responded. We are hopeful that the innovative ideas and visions voiced during the conference will shed light on many, many thorny issues and open up new paradigms for research.”

The dean of the ISEC NAS of the NAS RA, Ph.D. of Phys. and Math. Sciences, Associate Professor Atom Mkhitaryan, welcoming the attendees, particularly emphasized that the modern era of digitalization poses serious challenges to science and education, and events of this kind provide a unique opportunity to review our approaches and strategic principles of managing science and education systems.

Narine Manukyan, lecturer at the Department of Economics and Management of the ISEC of the NAS RA, mad a welcoming speech, as well, directing the especially the guests from the Higher School of Economics of the Russian National Research University and reflecting on the history of cooperation between the ISEC of the NAS Ra and the Russian National Research University.

Director of the Center for University Partnership of the Higher School of Economics of the Russian National Research University (НИУ ВШЭ), Political Scientist Candidate, Associate Professor Anna Garmonova, who is one of the permanent participants of the annual conference of the GKMC, noted before her report at the plenary session that her arrival this time, not alone, but with the entire delegation, indicates that the conference has developed its scope and increased interest in it.

Sergey Gavrilov (RF), Ph.D. of Technical Sciences, “University Lecturers: Cognitive Integration”,

Arayik Firyan (RA), Ph.D. of Psychobiological Sciences, Associate Professor “Publishing Activities: Lack of Competence of University Employees”, "Dynamics of Psychosocial Experiences of Displaced Persons and Psychological Mechanisms of Adaptation."

The conference continued in sections dedicated to various fields of science and the diverse and included specialized researches within them. The number of Master's and Ph.D. students of the ISEC of the NAS RA also participated in the conference with reports, taking advantage of the unique opportunity provided by the conference to gain experience in presenting scientific reports and pave their way to international science was especially inspiring.

One of the noteworthy parts of the program was the round table proposed by the Russian guests under the title "Effectiveness of Higher School Lecturers: Cognitive Functions, Abilities, Motivations". It was successfully held in the "Educational Management" section, preceding the scientific reports. Within its framework, the Russian partners presented their experience in the field of educational management, which became the subject of constructive discussion.

At the end of the day, it was stated that the event was successfully implemented, solving the problems it set itself, stimulating the emergence of new ideas and the design of new programs for international cooperation.
