Scientific and Practical Seminar on the Problem of Addictions at the ISEC NAS RA

The Department of Psychology of the ISEC NAS RA, which constantly focuses on current psychological problems, addressing them in scientific and educational publications, thematic seminars, conferences and other formats, initiated a scientific and practical seminar on one of the very relevant topics on addiction. Ilona Hovhannisyan, a leading specialist in this field, a psychologist at the National Addiction Treatment Center of the Ministry of Health of the RA and the “Healthy Soul” psychological services center, who has extensive experience in solving psychological addiction problems, was selected as the speaker. The seminar was held on February 6 this year in the hall of the ISEC NAS RA with the participation of undergraduates, postgraduates, applicants, staff, graduates and guests of the Center representing various specialties. The meeting was opened by the Deputy Director of the ISEC for Research, Head of the Department of Psychology, Doctor of Psychology, Professor Naira Hakobyan, who welcomed the participants, introduced the speaker and stressed the importance of including the chosen topic in the discussion field of the scientific and practical seminar․
Then speaker Ilona Hovhannisyan spoke, creating an atmosphere of relaxed communication from the very beginning. There were active questions and answers between the participants and the speaker, which greatly enlivened the atmosphere of the seminar. And since the speaker was armed with a wealth of practical experience in this field, each of the subtopics of the addiction problem received an exhaustive interpretation based on experience. It should be noted that the atmosphere of the seminar was also facilitated by the high level of preparation of the audience and the interesting questions raised.
