New Internship Opportunity for ISEC Students

From now, Master’s students at Department for Environmental Protection and Nature Management, ISEC NAS RA, enjoy the unique opportunity to do their internship at the "Republican Veterinary-Sanitary and Phytosanitary Laboratory Services Center" SNCO of SSFS, particularly in Food Safety Laboratory thus enhancing academia-industry-society link and increasing employability chances of our graduates in the competitive job market.
Food Safety Laboratory conducts analysis food safety indicators by divisions:

Food microbiological division

Food physicochemical and toxicological division

Residues detection division

Radiology division
Testings are performed by high-precision equipment (GC-MS-MS, LC-MS-MS, AAS, HPLC, ion chromatographs, etc.). Food raw materials, food and feed of animal and plant origin undergo lab tests based on the following indicators: toxic elements, pesticides, mycotoxins, and antibiotics. Examination of alcohol products is carried out in the country with the help of a set of unique devices. Physico-chemical parameters of food, raw materials, water are studied, which are carried out in order to determine the quality of raw materials, products and to reveal frauds.
