MENVIPRO: Towards Research-based Education
September 30, 2022The objective of the last visit within the frames of MENVIPRO Erasmus+ capacity building program was to strengthen technical and laboratory skills and abilities, as the unique inter-university educational and research laboratory, ERLEP, established created within the framework of this project is one of the main tangible results hereof, which has already significantly improved the quality standards of postgraduate education in the field of environmental education.
Gevorg Tepanosyan and Davit Pipoyan, academic staff at "Environmental Protection and Natural Management" Department, visited a number of laboratories at University of Tuscia in Italy, as well as several labs at Institute of Research on Terrestrial Ecosystems (IRET) of the National Research Council (CNR). The agenda was very full, during the visit meetings were held with colleagues from remote sensing, soil physical analysis, microbiology, ecology, molecular and cellular nutrition and a number of other laboratories.
In addition, the visits to the experimental farm and the living lab were of utmost interest. The features of using different laboratory equipment in the teaching process and research-based learning were discussed with the project partners.
