Meeting of the Committee on the inclusion of ISEC in International University Ranking

On December 23, the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia hosted a meeting of the Committee on the inclusion of ISEC in the World University Ranking.
Armen Sargsyan, Director of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, presented to the Committee members the importance of the Center to be evaluated as eligible for different International University Ranking lists and introduced a road-map designed for the near future. He emphasized the strong importance to improve the incentive mechanisms for motivation of the teaching staff on the basis of scientific results.
The Dean of the Center Atom Mkhitaryan, in his turn, introduced the main directions, principles and methodology of the work to be carried out by various departments of the Center in order to be included in the international ranking lists.
Within the framework of the agenda, an active discussion took place, during which the Committee members put forward a number of recommendations for improving the website, publishing scientific articles in line with international standards, increasing the Center’s visibility in the international arena, organizing training courses for professors and other issues for the implementation of which responsible persons were appointed.
As a result of the extensive discussion, the priority directions of work of various departments were offered, the indicators of the outputs, as well as the principles of their practical application and measurable indicators were considered.
The Committee meetings on the inclusion of ISEC in the World University Ranking lists will be held monthly, during which the heads of the responsible units will present the work performed.
