Online Meeting with the Heads of the Departments

On February 8, an online meeting was held with the Heads of the Departments, which was attended by the ISEC director Armen Sargsyan and members of administration.
Armen Sargsyan emphasized the detailed discussion of the issues raised on the agenda of the meeting, in particular, the internationalization and increasing the visibility of the Center and the work carried out in this regard, which are defined by the Center's strategy development plan and improvement plan.
The Center's Deputy Director for Scientific Research, Naira Hakobyan presented in her speech the steps need to be taken for the Center's involvement in the ranking tables of the world's best universities, noting that the Center's professors are aware of providing complete information about their scientific activities and registering on academic social networks. In order to provide support to lecturers in this matter and to facilitate the registration process of lecturers in academic social networks, the Center has initiated a seminar on "Academic social networks as a modern tool for researchers", which will be conducted by the head of the Linguistics Department of the Center, scientific secretary, Ph.D. Mary Sargsyan.
The head of Foreign Affairs Department, Arusyak Harutyunyan also addressed the issue of the Center's involvement in the ranking tables, suggesting to attract foreign Armenian-speaking professors from abroad to conduct distance-learning courses and deepen the cooperation with international partners.
The head of the Education Quality Assurance department, Narine Vardanyan also mentioned that starting from 2023 the Center was planning to conduct lecturer assessment surveys, and the chairs can independently develop questionnaires or use the questionnaire developed by the Education Quality Assurance Department.
The Dean of the Center, Atom Mkhitaryan referred to the monitoring results of the remote platform and informed that, if necessary, training courses on the use of the platform can be organized. In addition, the head of the IT department, Armen Yeghoyan assured that all the necessary guidelines with detailed descriptions have been installed to use the platform.
At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Director on Educational Affairs, Yerjanik Zargaryan noted that according to his instructions within the framework of the Center's education improvement plan, on February 13-25, lectures will be held in the specialized chairs of ISEC. E. Zargaryan also referred to the work ensuring the sustainability of benchmarking of academic programs in the departments, and also informed about discounts allocated by the government with the full compensation of the tuition fees (free of charge) for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Summing up the results of the working meeting, Armen Sargsyan noted that in order to make the document circulation of the Center more efficient and accessible, it was planned to launch the Mulberry system, which will also be available to the heads of the departments.
