Learning to Teach: A Guide to Interactive Teaching

On 7 October, 2024, within the framework of Erasmus+ CBHE program "Development of Aquaculture and Fisheries Education for Green Deal in Armenia and Ukraine: FROM EDUCATION TO ECOLOGY" (AFISHE) a series of training sessions kicked off at ISEC NAS RA designed to improve the teaching skills of the faculty members included in the project. The training will continue until October 11 inclusive.

The aim of these training sessions is to equip the faculty members with theoretical and practical knowledge of innovative teaching trends and tools, and the principles of student-centered and practice-oriented learning, develop the ability to apply interactive, practice-oriented teaching methodology in the classroom and demonstrate the ability to create independently educational content by using student-centered, interactive and practice-oriented teaching methods and tools.

At the end of the training, participants should be familiar with key innovative teaching trends effective in training students of higher education; understand the specifics of student-centered education and the importance of the correct selection of forms and methods of education for students of higher education; analyze educational content and evaluate the effectiveness of various interactive learning methods; and be able to implement innovative methods and technologies and use digital tools in the classroom. The training sessions focus on such trendy topics as modern teaching methods, presenting content interactively, principles of assessment, unlocking students’ creative thinking and AI tools in teaching.
