Director of ISEC took part in the Global Impact Conference "Education X: Catalyst for the Future" in Nizhny Novgorod

From November 29 to December 1, Armen Sargsyan, Director of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, and Narine Manukyan, lecturer of the Department of Economics and Management, coordinator of the KiVO competition in Armenia, took part in the Global Impact Conference "Education X: Catalyst For the Future" organized with the support of Rosatom State Atomiс Energy Corporation, which took place in Nizhny Novgorod.

The opening speech at the conference was delivered by Alexey Likhachev, General Director of Rosatom, who thanked the partners and participants of the event for their efforts and hard work, stressing that only due to the harmonious work of everyone it became possible to organize such a constructive and fundamental educational dialogue, which had been qualitatively improving year by year, in terms of selected topics and decisions made as a result of the conference implementation.

The conference participants were also welcomed by the Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Gleb Nikitin, who emphasized the importance of organizing such a large-scale event in Nizhny Novgorod, particularly, in the largest scientific center named after A. Sakharov, which had taken a historical path of development and was known for its numerous achievements.

Within the framework of the conference, the final stage of the international KiVO Competition of Innovations in Education was held, where Armen Sargsyan was invited as a member of the jury.

It should be reminded that this year the Armenian educational community had the opportunity to submit applications for participation in that competition. The main organizer of the competition is the "Higher School of Economics" National Research University of the Russian Federation, and the main partner and coordinator in Armenia is the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

The Competition of Innovations in Education has been held for 9 years, and during this time more than 6000 projects have been received and considered. KiVO 2022 received 419 applications, including 370 projects from Russia, 45 projects from abroad. Applications were received from 19 countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, as well as Germany, France, Israel, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc. All entries submitted to the competition were independently peer-reviewed by over 100 education and business experts who provided feedback to the teams. As a result of the examination, 10 projects reached the final stage, including the "EPIC" project by team members Arusyak Aleksanyan, Mariam Muradyan and Anna Malkhasyan, representing YSU European Research Center.

The participants of the competition were also welcomed by the Director of ISEC NAS RA, Armen Sargsyan, who wished them professional success and new achievements. "Innovations are considered to be the driving force of education development and an approach to applying high-impact innovation in educational processes, as well as the combination of research and educational components contribute to more competitive and effective education in modern digital era," stated Armen Sargsyan.

This year, the team of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University was recognized as the winner of the competition for the "LEAN Production" project. The winning team will receive an educational grant from the "Higher School of Economics" National Research University of the Russian Federation.

During the visit, agreements were reached with partner organizations regarding the implementation of joint scientific and educational programs of mutual interest.
