Certificates of Gratitude to ISEC Jessup Team Members

March 5, 2013

ISEC’s team won the second place at Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2013. ISEC Director Albert Sargsyan congratulated the team members and hoped they would perform better in the upcoming year, would win the Armenian round and leave for the US to take part in the international round.
It should be mentioned that Armenian teams have been participating in the moot court competition since 2000. During the competition law students act either for a claimant or a defendant trying to give correct legal definitions of the facts and to ground arguments. The team, which wins the Armenian round, leaves for Washington to take part in the competition with teams from around 90 countries.
ISEC Team Member and Best Speaker for 2013 Grigor Tunyan thinks they have all the prerequisites to win the competition next year.
“It’s true that the results and achieved success was not satisfactory, however, we should develop what we have achieved, moreover, when we have a good team, aimed team work, when it’s possible to gain the desirable result,” Grigor said.
Sona and Tatev also had good impressions from the competition, “The second place was the result of not sufficient studies of court precedents and taking this fact into consideration we are sure next time we can do more.” While of the participants Ani makes sure you should read much and not sleep at nights to take part in the competition, as Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is very binding, boosts your knowledge and motivates for self-development.
