ISEC Department for History, Political Science and International Relations Expanding International Ties

From October 14-17, 2021 at the invitaion of the North Caucasus Federal University from Stavropol (Russian Federation), Professor, the Head of the Department of History, Political Science and International Relations of ISEC NAS RA Karen Khachatryan,  participated in the international conference "The Phenomenon of Borders in History and Historical Memory".

Professor gave a welcoming speech at the plenary session of the conference, conveyed the greetings from the Director of ISEC NAS RA Armen Sargsyan, introduced the main directions of the Center, and expressed his expectations for future cooperation with the South Caucasus Federal University.

The topic of the report at the conference was "The Problem of the Territories and Borders of Armenia in 1918-1923". The report was also published in the scientific collection "The Phenomenon of Borders in History and Historical Memory" (Stavropol, 2021).

Proffesor Khachatryan during his visit had a number of important meetings with the Vice-Rector for Strategic Development of the North Caucasus Federal University N. Avralev, the Head of International Programs and Projects Department V. Samoilenko and the Head of the Chair of International History, Political Science and International Relations I. Kryuchkov.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the possibilities of cooperation stipulated by the trilateral agreement between the North Caucasus Federal University, the Institute of History of NAS RA and ISEC NAS RA on scientific and educational cooperation, signed within the framework of the establishment of the "Center for Transcaucasian Studies".

An agreement was also reached to develop a Double Degree Master Program in "International Relations" with the award of a double degree diploma.
