International Conference on "Current Challenges and Development Prospects of Research-Based Education"
May 31, 2024On May 31, the International Conference titled "Current Challenges and Development Prospects of Research-Based Education" took place at ISEC NAS RA. The conference was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation, with plenary sessions and individual scientific sections for presentations and discussions.
Participants included representatives from foreign partner universities, lecturers from various Armenian universities, Master's students, researchers, doctoral candidates, and faculties from scientific centers and institutes.
As a tradition, the annual International Conference, aims to address the existing issues and challenges in research-based education, discuss topics of interest to professionals, and outline future prospects in the context of contemporary societal transformations.
Armen Sargsyan, the Director of the ISEC NAS RA, addressed his opening remark, highlighting the importance of organizing such events to foster mutually beneficial international cooperation and create a multidisciplinary professional platform. "The conference provides an opportunity for researchers and scientists in the field to present the results of their applied research and discuss issues related to their activities. Most of the fundamental problems facing contemporary science are global challenges that require universal approaches to solve," said A. Sargsyan.
Naira Hakobyan, the Deputy Director for research at the ISEC NAS RA, welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude to representatives from the Russian Academy of Education, the Higher School of Economics at the National Research University in Russia, and Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education for their substantial scientific articles, which have been published in the collection of scientific articles. N. Hakobyan emphasized that the International Conference has, for years, brought together scientists, lecturers, and students from various countries and universities, made them aware of research in different fields and created an environment for effective collaboration and the realization of innovative ideas.
Svetlana Ivanova, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Russian Academy of Education and academician, sent her greetings remotely.
Anna Garmonova, the Director of the University Partnership Center at the Higher School of Economics at the National Research University in Russia and candidate of Political Sciences, along with Yevgeniya Opfer, associate professor at the Institute of Education at the same university and candidate of pedagogical sciences, delivered a joint presentation on "The Modern High School Teacher: Profession and Vocation."
Elena Ivanyana, the Professor at Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education and doctor of philological sciences, also joined remotely, presenting her report on "Verbal and Visual Nominations in Armenian in Russian Commercial Discourse."
The plenary session was followed by sectional work in the fields of Philology, Natural Sciences, Law, Psychology, Pedagogy and Educational Management, Economics, and Management.
The conference proceeded in a constructive atmosphere and served as an effective platform for presenting and discussing innovative ideas and scientifically grounded proposals, which will have significant practical importance in the future.
All presentations have been published in full as scientific articles in the collection of scientific articles, summarizing the issues presented.
