Fusion of Education and Science: Strengthening Ties

In the frames of Erasmus+ KA107 Credit Mobility Project implemented between ISEC NAS RA and University of Tuscia from 21 February to 9 March 2018 Meline Beglaryan, lecturer at "Environmental Protection and Nature Management" Department of ISEC NAS RA and Head of Expert Group at Food Chain Risk Assessment Center of Center for Ecological Noosphere Studies of NAS RA paid a business visit to the University of Tuscia, Italy. During her visit, she had different meetings with the staff of DIBAF and Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Nutrition. Together with Professor Nicolo Merendino, Head of Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Nutrition, she worked on editing a joint research paper, which has already been accepted for publishing in an international impact factor journal.
During her visit, Meline Beglaryan also participated in the continuous professional development courses run by Professor Nicolo Merendino, which were dedicated to the basics of food science, as well as the role and significance of functional food in the people's healthy diet. They also discussed submitting a joint research paper on health risk assessment to a conference to be held in Rome in September 2018.
Several days after her return she made a presentation on her visit to the University of Tuscia, performed works and arrangement in the expanded meeting of the scientific council of Center for Ecological Noosphere Studies of NAS RA and "Environmental Protection and Nature Management" Department of ISEC NAS RA sharing her experience and impressions.
