Conference on "The Problem of Personal Anomie in the Post-War Period"

On March 4, the International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA hosted a conference on "The Problem of Personal Anomie in the Post-War Period: Mechanisms of Social Adaptation, Integration and Assertive Behavior Formation" on the joint initiative of ISEC NAS RA Department of Psychology and the "Zhest" Psychological and Personality Development Center.

The conference was organized with the funding of the Science Committee within the framework of the scientific topic 21T-5A311, which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, members of the teaching staff of various RA universities and scientific educational centers, graduate and undergraduate students. More than 70 parents and family members of heroes of 2020 war were also invited to take part in the conference.

During the conference, a tribute ceremony was held under the title "For Eternity", and the parents and family members of the heroized servicemen were presented with biographical books summarizing the life and heroism of each serviceman.

The conference was attended by the Head of ISEC NAS RA Psychology Department, mentor of the scientific topic "The problem of the crisis and anomie of a personal value system in the post-war period and the methodology of overcoming it", Ph.D, Professor Naira Hakobyan, officer-psychologist of the Ministry of Defense General Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Armine Hovhannisyan, member of the working group of the scientific topic, lecturer of ISEC NAS RA Psychology Department, Associate Professor Anna Khachatryan, lecturer of ISEC NAS RA Psychology Department, psychotherapist, Associate Professor Mariam Mehrabyan, founder of the "Zhest" Psychological and Personality Development Center Arkadi Mehrabyan and others.

In her report, Naira Hakobyan presented the problem of personal anomie in the post-war period and the methodological foundations of the work carried out within the framework of the scientific topic.

Lieutenant-Colonel Armine Hovhannisyan, officer-psychologist of the General Staff of the RA Ministry of Defense, reported on the topic "Features of psychological work with the families of prisoners and missing servicemen in the primary level", issues of great interest to the attendees were covered, which were related to the peculiarities of psychological work with different social groups.

Arkady Mehrabyan presented the modern achievements and challenges of the study of anomie, emphasizing the psychological features of the formation and development of assertive behavior in order to overcome anomie.

Mariam Mehrabyan detailed the results of psychological work carried out within the framework of the "For Eternity" project, observations related to the applicability of the development and implementation of psychological techniques were presented.

In her speech, Anna Khachatryan presented the current work carried out by the scientific team, as well as the results of regional research on the problem were analyzed.
