ARMDOCT EU Erasmus + "Degree Awarding" Project’s Working Group Summed up the Processing Work of Package Offers

The online meeting of the working subgroup of the ARMDOCT EU Erasmus + "Degree Awarding" Project was held on 15 January 2021.
It should be mentioned that the work of this subgroup, in the person of Dean Atom Mkhitaryan, is being organized by the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA.
The meeting-discussion was attended by members of the following partner organizations: International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, Eurasia International University, Yerevan State University, Armenian State Engineering University, Vanadzor State Pedagogical University, Brusov State Linguistic University, State Medical University after M. Heratsi, Institute of Informatics and Automation Problems of NAS RA, RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport with its representative delegation.
A number of issues relating to the doctoral degree system were addressed during the meeting, which lasted for more than 2 hours, in particular the qualifications for the dissertation, the process and composition of professional councils, the dissertation defense procedure and the appeal procedure, the need to reconsider the number of specialties, questions relating to academic ethics, etc.
The working group found it expedient to recommend as a result of the discussions:
-the organization of meetings-discussions with ERASMUS plus in parallel with other MINERVA project partners, in particular, taking into account the commonalities, program-directed issues, cumulative experience,
-to schedule a conference to discuss relevant cross-cutting problems with other subgroups (for example, organization, economic relations, etc.)
- Arrange regular meetings-discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, with the participation of representatives of the SCC, SC.
It should be noted that 4 European HEIs, 9 Armenian universities, the NAS RA Institute of Informatics and Automation Problems and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport are primarily included in the program. The aim of this project is the creation and implementation of doctoral education reforms in Armenia.
