An Open Class Dedicated to Honorary Consul Diana Abgar

The open class held on October 18, 2016, was dedicated to the Armenian intellectual, a prominent political and public figure, writer and publicist, the diplomatic representative of the Republic of Armenia in Japan in 1919-1920 Diana Abgar. The open class topic selection was undertaken by the President of ISEC NAS RA Students' Scientific Association M. Parsadanyan and the President of Students' Scientific Association of History faculty of Yerevan State University Gegham Asatryan. In his opening speech M. Parsadanyan welcoming those present pointed out the importance and relevance of the topic. The open class was conducted by Senior Researcher of the Institute of History of NAS RA, Candidate of Philological Sciences Artsvi Bakhchinyan. She thoroughly presented the life and work of Diana Abgar - the intellectual-diplomat. The political analyst L. Shirinyan, ISEC NAS RA legal adviser and lecturer L. Kharatyan and a staff member of the Institute of History V. Gharakhanyan were also invited to the open class. Students from Yerevan State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovyan and Eurasia International University of Armenia were also present at the event.
