"Rethinking China’s Foreign Policy" Special Course

"China-Eurasia" Council for Political and Strategic Research and the Department of Oriental Studies of the ISEC NAS RA organize a special course "Rethinking China's Foreign Policy", which will be held in 2018 with the support of the "Armenian Diplomatic Foundation" from September 20 to September 25 in Yerevan.

The purpose:


The course, with specially designed curriculum, features Armenian and foreign scholars (online) who have been studying China's current foreign policy issues for many years. The purpose of these courses is to provide the individuals that deal with China's policy, with deep knowledge of this growing superpower that gradually increases its economic and political influence in the world. The courses will be held in Armenian, Russian and English languages.

Individuals with higher education or students of HEIs aged up to 35 who are studying or working in political science, oriental studies, journalism, international relations, economics and related fields can take part in the admission competition.

Participants of the special courses will pass a final exam. The successful attendees will be awarded graduation certificates.

  1. CV
  2. A brief overview of the purpose of participating in the "Rethinking China’s Foreign Policy" training (not more than 1500 words)
  3. One recommendation letter from a Scientific Advisor or Senior Partner


The participants who have successfully completed the first stage will receive an invitation and detailed information on the course format, schedule, location and hours until September 10. Each applicant’s application is a subject to individual review, not later than one day of a receipt.

The classes begin at 19:00 and end at 20:30 (or 21:00).

The aim of the Chair of Oriental Studies of the ISEC NAS RA
is to prepare qualified specialists, to carry out scientific, educational and scientific-pedagogical research in the field of Oriental Studies, to educate scientific staff, to promote international scientific and educational cooperation in the field of professional development, to improve the content of learning and to prepare and publish textbooks, teaching guides and books. Master students will gain a deeper and integrated knowledge of the history, culture and religion of the old, medieval, new and modern times of the Middle East. The issues of Old Eastern history and mythology will make the student completely understand the civilizations of Middle East. The student will also gain a deeper knowledge of the crucial issues of modern Turkey, Iran and Arab countries, their history, politics, regional and international relations.
