Analysis of the current state of the Armenian language in the Russian environment (Armenian as the language of Diaspora and a foreign language)

The project is being implemented within the framework of the "Research Support for Young Researchers" supported by the Science Committee of RA (Research project № 22YR-6B005).

The project of "Analysis of the current state of the Armenian language in the Russian environment (Armenian as the language of Diaspora and a foreign language)" makes it possible for the first time to study in detail the current state of the Armenian language in the Russian-speaking environment, as well as to analyze and present the problems, means, and methods of teaching Armenian as a mother tongue, foreign or second language.

The project has a specific goal: to study the current state of the Armenian language in the largest Armenian community in Russia (following the example of the Armenian community of St. Petersburg), to present the tendencies, problems of the development and peculiarities of the Armenian language learning in the Russian-speaking environment.

The project of "Analysis of the current state of the Armenian language in the Russian environment (Armenian as the language of Diaspora and a foreign language)" has a great perspective, as the results and standards developed on the basis of the project can be applied not only in Russian-language educational institutions operating in Armenia but also in Armenian communities in Russia. It will open great prospects for solving both theoretical-linguistic and practical-practical problems.
