"Tourism Management" master students’ research in Tbilisi

On April 27, 2019 first-year master students of "Tourism Management" of the ISEC NAS RA conducted their first practical training in  Georgian capital Tbilisi, under the guidance of the lecturer of the chair, Associate Professor, Zaruhi Hayryan.

The main purpose of the practical training was to familiarize with the tourist infrastructure of Tbilisi, visit St. Gevorg and St. Ejmiatsin churches, visit the museum of Zurab Tsereteli, "Hotel business" training at the Marriott Tbilisi Hotel, visit the resort of Mtskheta and get acquainted with the local cultural and historical values.

Students in Tbilisi performed a guided tour. Each of them had a specific work to do: present tourist infrastructure of the city. The main attractions of the excursion were the city center, Sh. Rustaveli Square and Monument, Sayat-Nova and Mantashev Monuments, Surb Gevorg and St. Ejmiatsin Churches, Havlabar District.

This trip, being a combination of educational, cultural, religious and gastronomic tourism, enhanced the students' knowledge and became the first experience of conducting professional excursions.
