Launch of a Double Degree Program with Tuscia University on Human rights and Security
May 26, 2023On May 22-26, within the framework of the "International Staff Training Week" organized at the University of Tuscia in Italy, the working group of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, represented by Simon Babayan, Head of the Department of Jurisprudence, professors of the Department Artyom Sedrakyan and Artak Asatryan, and Arusyak Harutyunyan, Head of Foreign Affairs Department, discussed the specifics of the implementation of the double degree program on Human Rights and Security with the representatives of the Department of Literature, History, Philosophy and Jurisprudence of Tuscia University. In particular, the program's implementation changes brought on by the coronavirus epidemic were addressed.
The parties organized in-depth discussions on the course structure and the bilateral significance of implementing the double diploma program in addition to confirming the necessity of implementing the educational program due to contemporary challenges. The Italian delegation was invited by the Armenian delegation to deliver lectures for the staff and students of the Department of Jurisprudence of ISEC NAS RA, as well as to host a discussion of a case study at the Club of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia.
It should be noted that in 2021, the Departments of Foreign Relations and Jurisprudence held relevant negotiations regarding the implementation of the double diploma program, and as a result, an agreement was signed on the implementation of a double diploma under the new Master's program "Human Rights and Security" between the ISEC NAS RA and Tuscia University of Italy. This is the third agreement on the implementation of a double degree diploma signed between these two higher education institutions.
The admission of a new Master's program has already started for the academic year 2023-2024. The students will begin their studies at ISEC in the first year, and the best students will have the opportunity to continue their studies at Tuscia University in Italy in the second year. At the end of their studies, they will receive diplomas from both the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA and Tuscia University in Italy.
