Heads of Departments of the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA Discussed Program Accreditation Issues

On the initiative of the Education Quality Assurance Department of the ISEC NAS RA, a meeting was held at the Center with Lilit Zakaryan - the responsible for the relations with ANQA stakeholders of the RA "National Quality Assurance Center" and department heads of the ISEC NAS RA. The main topic of the discussion was the accreditation of vocational education programs for higher education institutions. Head of Quality Assurance Department of ISEC NAS RA Narine Vardanyan presented the current state of the issue and contemporary tendencies regarding the program accreditation. ANQA representative and the responsible for relations with ANQA stakeholders Lilit Zakaryan talked about the initial program accreditation criteria and standards. The latter presented the general requirements for program accreditation. Many questions were heard, a number of peculiarities were discussed typical for the National Academy of Sciences and the Academy Master's Degree Program, and a whole set of questions was provided for further discussion. This meeting was of cognitive character. The Education Quality Assurance Department of the ISEC NAS RA is planning to hold similar meetings and discussions regularly.
