ISEC took part in the Exhibition "Education and Career EXPO-2023"

On April 5-7, Yerevan Expo Exhibition Complex hosted the traditional 22nd International Specialized Exhibition "Education and Career EXPO-2023", which was attended by more than 80 educational institutions from Armenia and abroad: universities, colleges, schools, training centers and international donor organizations.

The main goal of the international specialized exhibition is to make education available to everyone and establish favorable conditions for a broad-based communication between educational institutions and enterprises, to inform about the most in-demand jobs in the labor market.

The participants of the largest education exhibition of the year were welcomed by Araksia Svajyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, who emphasized the importance of students active involvement, and noted that this platform has created an opportunity to combine the needs and requirements of education and the labor market.

As an institution of higher education, the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA is considered to be the prototype of the first research university in Armenia, which featured about 20 departments of the Center during the three-day exhibition, where education is carried out in over 30 Master’s education programs. The Center presented its visitors both ongoing and upcoming educational programs, particularly, a new master's education program "Development of Aquaculture and Fisheries Education for Green Deal in Armenia and Ukraine: from education to ecology" (AFISHE) within Erasmus+ CBHE program. A. Sargsyan, Director of ISEC NAS RA, underlined that the education process in scientific organizations, where the Center's specialized departments are located, provides the undergraduate students with the opportunity to participate in scientific research and develop practical skills, thereby strengthening the link between education-science-industry.

Lilit Adamyan, Head of the Public Relations and Career Department of ISEC NAS RA, noted the importance of educational institutions actively participating in such specialized exhibitions, which give students the opportunity to orient themselves in the choice of education and occupation or to familiarise themselves with other employment prospects.

L.Adamyan emphasized that during these three days, a number of cooperation agreements have already been reached, which will create wider opportunities for industrial practice and employment for students in the near future.
