The Concluding Conference of the ARMDOCT Project will be Held in Yerevan

On October 13, an online meeting of the national coordinators of the ARMDOCT project was held which was also attended by the representatives of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
The goal of the meeting was to present the process, structure, activity plan, as well as the main challenges of the implementation of postgraduate joint educational programs within the 4-th Work Package of Armenian partner universities.
The representatives of universities noted during the discussion that a number of procedural and legal issues, as well as the codes of new specializations of PhD programs, were the main issues related to the implementation of educational programs. Following the discussion, it was decided to write the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports and present the issues in order to get relevant solutions.
According to the program coordinator, ISEC Dean Atom Mkhitaryan, the joint educational program for the third level of higher education titled as "Sustainable Development" will soon be launched.
The concluding conference of the ARMDOCT project will take place on December 1-3 in Yerevan, at Komitas Museum-Institute, and will be attended by both Armenian and European partner universities, RA scientific community and university representatives.
Reminder: reforming Doctoral Education (DE) in Armenia in line with Needs of Academia, Industry and Current EU practices (ARMDOCT), a three-year Erasmus+ project, is coming to an end.
The ARMDOCT project addresses an urgent need in Reforming Doctoral Education (DE) in Armenia in line with the Salzburg Principles with the emphasis on policy, legal framework (including by-laws) and institutional procedures supporting integrative and internationally-oriented doctoral studies involving universities, research institutions and industry.
