Changing Scenario of Political Communication

The systems of political communication are in a state of transition everywhere in the world. The changing process is not started recently but is ongoing for the past forty years. It is a complex transition that acts at a different levels and it is particularly sensitive to the role of media and social media into public information scenario. The process of media pervasiveness into the society as a whole and in politics, in particular, has been defined as the process of mediatization. In this lesson, Prof. De Rosa will highlight how this scenario is becoming much more hybrid and what are the implications for politics and citizen participation.
