ISEC NAS RA Participates in the 7th International Staff Week at the University of Tuscia, Italy

From 8 to 12 June 2026, the University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy) hosted the 7th International Staff Week dedicated to “Artificial Intelligence, Inclusion and Sustainability in Higher Education”. The event brought together nearly 200 academic and administrative staff members from universities worldwide to exchange ideas, share best practices, and discuss the future of higher education in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
The International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA) was represented by a delegation headed by Director Dr. Armen Sargsyan, together with Angela Papikyan, Head of the Foreign Affairs Department, Dr. Karen Sargsyan, Head of the Department of Economics and Management, Armen Yeghoyan, Head of the IT Department and David Pipoyan, Lecturer at the Department of Environmental Protection and Nature Management.
The programme featured expert presentations, thematic sessions, workshops, and roundtable discussions focusing on the impact of artificial intelligence on teaching, learning, accessibility, and sustainability, as well as the ethical and societal challenges associated with emerging technologies. Participants explored innovative approaches to higher education and exchanged experiences on fostering international cooperation and institutional development.
Particular attention was devoted to strengthening Erasmus+ mobility, expanding international partnerships, and developing joint and double degree programmes. The event also provided valuable networking opportunities, enabling participants to establish new contacts and discuss future collaborative initiatives.
Participation in the International Staff Week allowed the ISEC NAS RA delegation to gain insights into current trends in higher education, exchange experiences with international colleagues, and explore new opportunities for academic cooperation, further contributing to the Center’s internationalisation efforts and strategic development.
