Master’s Program in "Education Management" of ISEC NAS RA Celebrates its 5th Anniversary
July 14, 2026
On June 20, the latest cohort of students from the "Education Management" Master's program at the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA) successfully defended their theses.
Initiated by Associate Professor Atom Mkhitaryan, Dean of ISEC and lecturer of the program, this landmark day was transformed into a double celebration. It brought together alumni of all cohorts, current students, and faculty members to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the program’s founding. Held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, the gathering served as an ideal platform to reflect on the journey so far, share professional achievements, and discuss innovative educational ideas.
Despite its young age, the program has already built a successful and tight-knit community. Its alumni include established and innovative educators, heads of educational institutions, and a PhD holder.
During the current academic year alone, the program's master's students have achieved outstanding results:
International Experience: Anahit Manukyan studied for one semester at the University of Bologna—the world's oldest university—under the Erasmus+ program.
Innovative Victory: Arpine Hakobyan won an award in the "Proposal to Armenia" competition for presenting an innovative educational project.
The brilliant defense of the 2026 graduates' master's theses once again proved that the education sector, represented by the graduates of the ISEC "Education Management" master's program, is constantly replenished with high-quality educational managers equipped not only with rich and competitive professional knowledge and skills, but also with a high value system.
The event was attended by leading lecturers of the program: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Hayk Petrosyan; Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Astghik Avetisyan; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Karine Papikyan; and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Vahan Meliksetyan. They welcomed the initiative of bringing the generations together, shared in their students' success, and passed on valuable professional advice.
Students and alumni of the "Education Management" program expressed their gratitude to the faculty, emphasizing the program’s decisive role in their career advancement.
The anniversary event concluded with a special guest lecture. Armenian-American economist Professor Armine Shahoyan, Chair of the Department of Business Administration at Holy Cross University (USA), delivered a lecture titled "Andragogy: Adult Education in the USA," further enriching the professional knowledge of the attendees.
Having built a history of young yet significant achievements, this ISEC master's program, with its high-quality faculty and cohesive community of generations, remains open to new applicants. Admission to the ISEC Master's program is currently underway, with dedicated spots available for the "Education Management" program.
