April 11, 2025

From April 7 to 11, 2025, a delegation from the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA) took part in the 5th International Training Week hosted by St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo (VTU), Bulgaria. The event was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme and held under the theme "Partnership for Future Cooperation: KA2 Projects and the Open European Union."

The ISEC delegation, headed by Director Dr. Armen Sargsyan, included Angela Papikyan (Head of the Foreign Affairs Department), Atom Mkhitaryan (Dean), Lilit Grigoryan (Head of Human Resources), and Narine Manukyan (Lecturer, Department of Economics and Management).

This international gathering brought together academic and administrative representatives from a wide range of countries, including Spain, the Netherlands, Albania, Egypt, Poland, Portugal, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, and Armenia.

During the official opening ceremony, VTU Rector Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Dr. Anna Ivanova welcomed the participants. They highlighted the significance of such events in addressing pressing challenges in education and science, while also fostering new, meaningful formats of international collaboration.

Throughout the week, particular focus was given to capacity-building experiences within Erasmus+ projects and the implementation of Open EU initiatives. Speakers emphasized the critical role of cross-border cooperation in facilitating knowledge exchange, modernizing educational systems, and boosting global competitiveness.

A notable highlight of the event was the presentation of the "EntreAction" project—an innovative initiative aimed at fostering youth entrepreneurship and civic engagement. The project is designed to promote hands-on learning, develop practical entrepreneurial skills, and empower young people to take an active role in community and social development.

The International Week concluded successfully, with its outcomes expected to have a lasting impact. It marked the beginning of new partnerships that will contribute to the development and implementation of future joint projects and initiatives between ISEC NAS RA and Veliko Tarnovo University.
