2023 Graduate of ISEC NAS RA Nona Gyulambaryan Awarded PhD (Candidate of Psychological Sciences) in 2025

The International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA (ISEC) takes special pride in highlighting the achievements of its graduates. In February of the current year, the PhD (Candidate of Sciences) dissertation defense of Nona Gyulambaryan took place. She is an outstanding graduate of the 2023 Master’s Program in Education Management at ISEC and a doctoral candidate of the ISEC Department of Psychology.

The dissertation is titled Manifestations of Destructive Motivation of Management in the Context of Transformation of the Value System” and was presented within the specializationy 19.00.03 Social Psychology. The academic supervisor was Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Naira Hakobyan.

The dissertation was defended on February 27, 2025, at the session of Specialized Council No. 064 of the RA Committee for Higher Education and Science, operating at Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University.

As stated in the dissertation abstract, the research is devoted to the socio-psychological characterization of the phenomenon of destructive motivation, while the core research problem is related to the individual’s interaction with the social environment.

The International Scientific and Educational Center of the NAS RA warmly congratulates its graduate, now Candidate of Psychological Sciences Nona Gyulambaryan, as well as her academic supervisor, Professor N. Hakobyan, on the successful completion of the degree-awarding process, and wishes Nona continued success and new achievements in her professional career.

We are also pleased to note that Nona is currently engaged not only in teaching activities (Department of Psychology, EUA) but also holds the position of Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the “Yerevan College of Law, Economics and Management” Educational Complex Foundation.

Reflecting on her achievements, Nona notes:“It has been a great honor for me to be a student both of the ISEC Master’s Program in Education Management and of the doctoral program at the Department of Psychology. The support and humane attitude of my competent, responsible, and caring academic supervisor — Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Naira Hakobyan — became the foundation upon which I was able to build professional confidence, independence, and purposeful growth. Her guidance and advice have always served not only as scientific benchmarks but also as attentive human support that inspired me to strive for more. At ISEC, I acquired knowledge, skills, and value-based perspectives. My admission to ISEC became a decisive step in my professional journey, enabling me to reach new heights in the fields of education and science. I am grateful for the trust shown toward me, the supportive environment created, the continuous encouragement, and the significant contribution to my academic and professional development.”
