Graduate Students of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at ISEC Visit “Esco-Pharm” Pharmaceutical Company

On April 9, 2025, first- and second-year students of the “Pharmacy” program at the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA), accompanied by the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at ISEC, Arpine Harutyunyan, and lecturer of the same department, Elmira Hakobyan, who teaches the courses “Drug Technology” and “Quality Management in Drug Production”, visited the pharmaceutical company and factory “Esco-Pharm” company․
The company’s director, Mikael Tovmasyan, presented the history of “Esco-Pharm,” its capabilities, the range of 100 pharmaceutical products it manufactures, as well as the company’s sales and export conditions.
The Production Director, Tigran Gasparyan, a graduate of ISEC’s Master’s program in Law, warmly and enthusiastically guided the group, providing detailed explanations throughout the informative tour.
At the factory, the students became acquainted with the requirements of GMP and GPP standards, as well as the specifics of producing ointments, powders, and liquid dosage forms.
The visit was both highly anticipated and beneficial, laying the foundation for closer, more constructive, and long-term cooperation between ISEC and “Esco-Pharm” in the future.
