The Series of Master Classes on Gestalt Therapy Concluded
May 12, 2025
From May 5 to 8, 2025, the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA) hosted and concluded a series of master classes dedicated to Gestalt therapy. The initiative was led by the Department of Psychology of ISEC, headed by its chairperson, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Naira Hakobyan.
The invited trainer was a leading expert in the field — Agavni Kolyan, a Candidate of Psychological Sciences and Associate Professor at Moscow State Pedagogical University, with many years of practical experience, especially in the field of Gestalt therapy.
The 30-hour master class series was primarily practical-oriented, utilizing Gestalt therapy techniques and imparting the corresponding professional skills to the participants who were psychologists.
There were 22 participants in the master classes, the overwhelming majority of whom were psychologists — master’s students, graduates, doctoral candidates, and candidates of sciences. In addition, there were also representatives from other fields from ISEC and other institutions.
Considering the professional diversity of the audience, the material on Gestalt therapy was presented in the most accessible way, while maintaining the narrow scientific focus of psychology.
Thanks to the trainer's extensive experience, professional expertise, and personal qualities, the course received high praise from the participants.
At the end of the course, participants were awarded certificates of participation, and the trainer received a letter of thanks from the director of ISEC NAS RA.
