Latest Trends in Developing Online Education in Armenia: Presentation at AUA

On April 2017 an online colloquium was held at the American University of Armenia with the leading organizations providing online education in Armenia to discuss the latest trends in developing online education in Armenia and its current problems. The participants of the online colloquium were Armenian Virtual College, International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, PeaceCorps Armenia and COAF (Children of Armenia Fund), as well as Dasaran.am and their representatives presented the works they have carried out in the field of online education, problems arising in its organization process and ways to overcome them, then they held a Q&A session. Arusyak Harutyunyan, Head of Foreign Affairs Department of ISEC NAS RA, presented the outcomes of Distance Learning Project in Frames of LLL implemented by ISEC NAS RA, as well as the course of “Online Master’s Program with Joint Diplomas” project implemented in collaboration with RA State Administration Academy. After the presentations the presenters and attendees discussed the perspectives of developing online education in Armenia.
