Best Speaker of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2013 ISEC Master’s Student Grigor Tunyan
February 22, 2013Since 2009 Master’s students of International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA have been participating in the Armenian round of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition organized by the Armenian Young Lawyers Association.
Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition promotes boosting lawyers’ professional skills and knowledge and gives way to new successes for young lawyers.
ISEC team for 2013 was composed of Grigor Tunyan and Vahram Abrahamyan (“Jurisprudence”, 2nd year, part-time), Sona Goreyan and Tatev Aramyan (“Jurisprudence”, 1st year, full-time) and Ani Samsonyan (“International Relations”, 2nd year, full-time).
This year 9 Armenian teams filed applications for the participation in the court moot from 9 HEIs, the best four teams were selected to the semi-final, while the final stage was a competition between YSU and ISEC teams.
As a result of tense competition YSU team took the first place, and ISEC team held the second place, respectively.
ISEC team member Grigor Tunyan was announced to be the best speaker both in semi-final and final stages, and he was awarded a diploma by the organizers of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. It should be noted that not only lawyers heading the court moot, but also the court moot organizers and the audience were delighted with Grigor Tunyan’s speaking skills and highly professional attitude.
