March 25, 2026
On March 24, 2026, an international interdisciplinary scientific discussion conference was held at the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, within the framework of the research project “Subjective Well-Being and Social Stability in the Context of Overcoming Psychological Anomie” (Project No. 25RG-5A025), funded by the Higher Education and Science Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
During the discussion, particular emphasis was placed on decision-making and problem-solving processes as key factors in ensuring individual and societal well-being. The discussions encompassed both theoretical and applied approaches aimed at identifying effective decision-making mechanisms under conditions of psychological anomie.
The keynote speaker was Irina Sotnyk, Professor at Sumy State University (Ukraine), Doctor of Economics, who addressed behavioral patterns of individuals in conditions of socio-economic uncertainty. She emphasized that decision-making processes are often influenced not only by rational calculations but also by psychological factors such as risk perception, levels of anxiety, and social trust.
Participants also discussed effective problem-solving strategies, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary approaches, particularly the integration of psychology and economics. It was noted that such approaches enable a deeper understanding of social behavior and contribute to the development of practical solutions aimed at strengthening social stability.
