Meline Sargsyan (1946–2026)

The staff of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA deeply regret to inform that Meline Aramais Sargsyan, former Head of the General Department and former Scientific Secretary of the Center, passed away in her 79th year of life.
Her contribution to the establishment, development, and advancement of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA is invaluable. With wholehearted dedication, integrity, responsibility, and readiness to serve, Meline Sargsyan consistently supported all initiatives of the Center, approached every issue with genuine care, and was always willing to contribute to each undertaking.
For many years, she responsibly coordinated the organizational work of the Master’s admission process, demonstrating professionalism and skill in working with applicants, students, and faculty members. Over many years, as a translator, she also made a significant and invaluable contribution to the publication of the NAS RA popular science journal “In the World of Science.”
She was a true professional, an honest friend, and a devoted citizen of her country.
The entire staff of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA expresses its deepest condolences and sympathy to Meline Sargsyan’s family, relatives, loved ones, and friends.
The wake will take place on February 23, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the “Rotonda” funeral hall (address: 83/12 Davit-Bek Street). The funeral will take place on February 24 at 2:00 PM, from the same location.
