"Current Regional Problems. Challenges and Opportunities "Professional School
July 14, 2018On the initiative of the head of the chair of Oriental Studies of ISEC NAS RA, R. Ghazaryan and the chairman of the SISC of MSMC M. Parsadanyan on July 9-13 "Current Regional Problems: Challenges and Opportunities" professional school was held, which was attended by students of ISEC NAS RA and students from other HEIs of Armenia. On the first day of the training, the representatives of the Armenian community of Istanbul were hosted by the ISSC Sarin Agpash, who presented the main issues of preserving the Armenian identity of the Armenian community of Istanbul and Armenians. Special attention was paid to Armenian schools of Constantinople and to the problems of the media. The following day, a scientific specialist at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA ,Vardan Galstyan, introduced a topic on "Demographic Images and Ethnic Issues in Azerbaijan". Fundamental proofs were shown on Azerbaijan's fake demographic picture. He also spoke about the involvement of the national minorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the internal political life of the country. On July 11, PhD of Political Sciences Mher Sahakyan introduced the topic "One Zone, One Way" an initiative from the perspective of China's security, its goals and features and the prospects of Armenia's involvement in this integration process. As an orientalist-sinologist, he presented the most important political and economic program of the era and Armenia's possible involvement in those processes. On July 12, Beniamin Mailyan, PhD of historical studies, a lecturer at the Institute of Oriental studies delivered a lecture. The speaker in detail presented Georgia's foreign policy in the South Caucasus. A special emphasis was placed on the history of Russian-Georgian contradictions. On July 13, PhD of Political studies Emil Ordukhanyan presented a lecture on "The Regional Developments and the RA Foreign Policy the Context". The political scientist especially highlighted the current political events and their influence on the foreign policy of our state. At the end of the course, Head of the Department of Oriental Studies of tNAS RA, Ph.D. R. Ghazaryan highlighted the importance of Oriental knowledge as well as non-formal education among young people. R. Ghazaryan underlined the importance of the training courses and noted that from now on, similar events and initiatives will more often be held. M. Parsadanyan expressed his gratitude to all the speakers, to R. Ghazaryan and ISEC NAS RA Governing bodies for supporting for the training organization. In his speech, he also mentioned the activities of the Chair of Oriental Studies and educational programs. At the end participants were awarded with Vocationalschool certificates on the "Current Regional Problems: Challenges and Opportunities".
