Regular Meeting of the ARMDOCT Project Working Group Towards the Establishment of a Joint Doctoral School

On February 22, a regular meeting of the working group of the Erasmus+ "Reforming Doctoral Education in Armenia in line with needs of Academia, Industry and current EU Practices" (ARMDOCT) project was held at the International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA, which was dedicated to the development and implementation of policy and legal framework for the establishment of the joint Doctoral School.

During the extensive discussion, the following issues were raised:

• the policy and procedures of Joint Doctoral School activities,
• the agreement between partner HEIs on the establishment and operationalization of the Joint Doctoral School,
• the admission and study procedure of the Joint Doctoral School,
• the agreement of the Joint Doctoral School, rules of academic honesty and integrity in the process of awarding degrees, the introduction of effective mechanisms to combat plagiarism and other issues.

It should be reminded that within the Erasmus+ "Reforming Doctoral Education in Armenia in line with needs of Academia, Industry and current EU Practices" (ARMDOCT) program, it is planned to launch two joint Doctoral Schools, one of which by joint efforts of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the NAS RA and the International University of Eurasia, and the other – by the French University in Armenia and the Institute of Problems Computer Science and Automation of the NAS RA.
